Built to perform.
Designed to last.
One group. Three disciplines. Software, electrical and fire & security — engineered with the care of specialists who take pride in every install.
Our divisions
Three disciplines.
One trusted group.
Each Lumacore company is a specialist in its field — but together they give clients an end-to-end capability that few independents can match. From the first site survey to long-term maintenance, every division operates to the same Lumacore standards of safety, documentation and aftercare so you never have to chase three contractors for one outcome.
Software development
Bespoke business systems, web platforms, dashboards and integrations engineered to remove manual work. Our software team has shipped job-management, invoicing and reporting tools that save clients hours every week — and we build everything to be maintained, extended and owned by you.

Learn moreHow we work
A clear, four-step process.
Every Lumacore project — large or small — follows the same proven sequence. It keeps clients informed, costs predictable and standards consistent across every discipline we touch.
Free consultation and on-site survey to understand the building, the brief and the budget. You receive a clear written proposal with no obligation.
Our engineers produce drawings, specifications and a fixed quotation so you know exactly what's being installed and why before any work starts.
Directly employed engineers complete the work to manufacturer and British Standard, with daily updates and tidy handover at every milestone.
Commissioning certificates, training and an ongoing maintenance plan so the system keeps performing for years — not just on day one.
Why Lumacore
A group built on accountability.
Every Lumacore install is built to perform on day one and designed to last for the long haul. You get the depth of three specialist businesses with the simplicity of a single relationship — compliance, continuity and craft looked after at group level so the work stays focused.
We're a Newcastle-based group serving clients across the North East and the wider UK. Our engineers are directly employed, properly trained and accountable to a single management team — which is why architects, facilities managers and main contractors keep coming back to us project after project.
Whether you're protecting a school, fitting out a retail space, rewiring a heritage building or rolling out a custom LED lighting scheme, you'll deal with engineers who care about doing it once, doing it properly, and leaving the paperwork in good order behind them.
Unified governance across every project.
Accredited engineers in every discipline.
Built on repeat clients and referrals.
Insured, qualified and audit-ready.

Common questions
Quick answers before you call.
A few of the questions clients ask us most often. Can't see yours? Drop us a line and we'll get straight back to you with a clear, jargon-free answer.
- Where are you based and how far do you travel?
- Our head office is in Newcastle Upon Tyne and most of our work is across the North East, but we deliver electrical, fire, security and software projects UK-wide for established clients and main contractors.
- Are your engineers directly employed?
- Yes. Every Lumacore engineer is directly employed, properly trained and accountable to our management team — we don't sub-contract critical work, which is how we keep quality and documentation consistent.
- Can you take on a project that involves more than one discipline?
- Absolutely — that's exactly why we exist as a group. A typical project might combine electrical first-fix, LED lighting, fire alarm installation, access control and a custom software integration, all delivered by one team under one programme.
- Do you offer ongoing maintenance and support contracts?
- Yes. We offer planned preventative maintenance, reactive call-outs and remote monitoring contracts for fire, security and electrical systems — and ongoing support agreements for the bespoke software we build.
- How quickly can you start a new project?
- Lead times vary by season and scope, but most surveys are booked within a week and small works can usually start within a fortnight. Larger fit-outs are programmed around your build schedule.
